course, right at that time her sheikh fiancee comes to get her after she called him from a stolen cell phone with guards and guns Marcos realizes they can t get out and he wants her to run and save herself I thought that was sweet They of course are rescued and the rest of the book continues with Marcos and Tamsin having a whirlwind love affair still all about the revenge on the sheikh that will lead to marriage so they can get custody of her younger sister The time Marcos and Tamsin spend together is sweet and one scene is pretty hot I liked that Tamsin fell in love with Marcos and kept pushing him to give up his revenge, that she loved him and just wanted to be with him.We all know it is a happily ever after so he does give up his revenge One big complain is that there is no epilogue I would ve liked to see Tamsin reunite with her little sister Classic HQ Presents an outrageous title, a hero bent on seeking revenge, a virgin heroine, and a predictable plot Just give your right through them There was kidnapping, and virginity and bad reputations built on tabloid rumors, poorly conceived revenge, medieval escape tunnels etc The basic ingredients Put in a bowl stir with a spoon Nothing outstanding here But comfort food of a sort The type of thing that you can read in front of the TV and not miss much of the show or the book Two things bothered me enough to mention though One, there is a scene where she is trying on her wedding dress and he comes in and sees her She tries to get out of sight because of the whole bad luck thing and he chases her down because she is just so sexy and beautiful Okay that was pretty hot Then he tears her dress down the front Because he just can t wait for her hotness long enough to find the zipper But she s okay with it even though she s spent all afternoon picking it out and it is the dress of every childhood fantasy WTF Why do these women never get mad at guys ripping up their clothes I m not thinking sexy, I m thinking about hitting him over the head with the closest lamp.Second, at the end Marcos comes to Tamsin two days after he gives up his revenge etc The guy he was after, who had just stolen her brother s wife, got exiled anyway even though Marcos gave up his revenge to be with Tamsin It s been TWO DAYS and the author has the hero tell the heroine that the last he d heard, Aziz was working at a petrol station and Camilla was a dog washer in Cairo That s just ridiculous First of all that sentence made it sound like it had been months since this all happened Second no fancy schmancy sheikh type person would get a job that quickly What I m exiled Noriches and harems and power for me No prob, I ll just get a menial job Don t know why I didn t think of it sooner There s no way a woman as money hungry as Camilla would have stayed in Cairo to wash dogs She d have conned some old geezer out of a plane ticket back to London and then schemed up something to land her a sugar daddy of some sort People like her don t work unless it s on their backs This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here Again going to try to keep this short and sweet This was another book that I did enjoy for some of the same reasons in my previous review of Lynn Raye Harris There was just no connection there for me and I didn t believe that the main characters for falling in love or were in love by the book end Then there was no buildup that I need to see in order for me to root for the couple They just came together way too quickly I fail and no anticipation building it up so that I can enjoy when they Again going to try to keep this short and sweet This was another book that I did enjoy for some of the same reasons in my previous review of Lynn Raye Harris There was just no connection there for me and I didn t believe that the main characters for falling in love or were in love by the book end Then there was no buildup that I need to see in order for me to root for the couple They just came together way too quickly I fail and no anticipation building it up so that I can enjoy when they finally did get together and become intimate Instead they just rushed into it and and rushed into intimacy I thought and it just felt unrealistic and really contrived Again the concept was interesting with the kidnap and all but that was it then it just felt like a whole rushing towards the end kind of thing I didn t feel the emotional intensity of the peace and just felt kind of flat for me I need the rawness and I didn t get that here and I needed it to support the couple My heart just didn t break while I was reading the story and I need a little heartbreak when reading a romance Also I felt there was a lot of repeating in here with the whole him wanting revenge on the guy she was supposed to marry which is why he kidnapped her in the first place to get revenge on him for by taking his intended bride Was said over and over again I kind a got sick of it and just was over it by halfway through the book I had enough of that theme in the story and I just needed to be done with I got that was the obstacle or the conflict for them but I was over it needed something new and interesting so I wasn t bored by it There was nothing special about this book when you need me route for the love story that occurred because it just fell flat I think the repeating didn t help and I felt their first time seeing happened with quickly and just didn t make sense and so many that it was the turn off For a majority of it I skim through it because I was so bored by then just felt like I read this over and over again I wasn t overly invested in the stories were the characters which is not a good sign when reading a book and I kind of just slogged through I didn t see two characters falling in love and that s what a romance should be It was just way too fast the new development that made me believe that they were in love or they were heading in that direction Also I would have liked to have seen a little bitpassion because I didn t feel it Yes they be love but it was it hot or sexy it was just bland and quit Too quick for me and I just needed those intense emotions combined with the chemistry and the catthis aworthwhile love story that I would have liked better Just was a hot story nor wasn t emotional story at least for my part Now usually I like Jenny Lucas books because she knows how to pack an emotional punch as well as passion and deep angst that breaks one heart and also where I feel for the characters, but this one just did not do it for me And this was one of her earlier books so maybe she just improved on her technique as she went on and learn that theemotional intensity, passion, and angst which adds to the story and the root able The characters she has created and her other books have resonatedthan Tamsin and Marcos had Yes it was missing something I just needed my heart ripped out and I just wanted to beinvested than I was I just need to feeland needed it to be a little bitintense Now will I still be Jenny Lucas s books of course I will because she s hadhits than misses in my eyes so I won t give up on her as an author I just neededfrom this book that I got So I look forward to reading Jenny s next book and hopefully it ll be better than this one I really enjoyed this book It was a fun,
